Sydney Adventure Cruises and lucky passengers aboard witnessed the most spectacular display as whales played just off the heads in Sydney on Sunday, 18 November 2012.

“It may have been our last cruise for the season, but we certainly went out with a bang,” Managing Director John McPherson said.

Below are some incredible photographs captured by Paul Beiboer who was aboard the cruise.

“What a fantastic day at sea! We were all excited about the show the whales put on,” Paul said.

More photographs and supporting video footage – taken by our friend, Biggles who was aboard the same cruise – is available on our Facebook page.

Sydney Adventure Cruises welcomes mothers and calves to Sydney

Sydney Adventure Cruises spotted the group of whales with a calf just south of Manly Beach yesterday morning.

“It was the perfect whale watching day – the sea was calm and the breaches were amazing,” skipper Peter North said.

Passengers aboard the cruise were treated to a spectacular display as whales breached off Manly yesterday afternoon. The following images were captured by passenger Barbara Mills.

“This cruise will definitely become a regular family outing,” Barbara said.

Whales are currently migrating south back to Antarctica for feeding, following their mating and calving season in the warmer waters of Queensland.
